Snohomish County wants your feedback on the future of local parks and recreation. The Snohomish County Parks and Recreation Division has launched its 2026 Parks Survey to gather input on park facilities, trails, open spaces, recreation programs, and community priorities. The survey will help guide future investments across hundreds of parks, more than 11,000 acres of open space, and hundreds of miles of trails throughout Snohomish County. Residents who complete the survey can also enter to win a two-night stay at a Snohomish County campground, including cabins, yurts, or campsites. The survey is available in English, Spanish, Russian, and Korean and will remain open through June 19, 2026. A new passenger ferry service is coming to Everett and Whidbey Island this summer. The Port of Everett and Port of South Whidbey are launching the Harbor Hopper, a pilot ferry route connecting Everett and Langley from June through August. The seasonal ferry will offer two daily round trips on select Thursdays and Saturdays, with rides taking about 30 to 45 minutes. Officials say the project is designed to boost tourism while testing demand for possible long-term passenger ferry service in the future.
